Situated south of the Loire between the historic towns of Chinon and Richelieu our holiday home is equipped to accommodate eight people.
This 17th century farm house is set amongst rolling countryside in the valley of the River Veude. It is in a small hamlet one kilometre from the beautiful village of Champigny-sur-Veude where many years ago Cardinal Richelieu tore down much of the local chateau as he felt it to be more magnificent than his own.
Built of soft white tufeau stone our holiday home which faces south has only recently been renovated. It was originally a farm house with a barn attached but now the two have been integrated into comfortable holiday accommodation which is truly spacious and has an old world charm.
Surrounded by a stone wall the sunny garden invites you to lounge beside your own private pool with a glass or two of local wine. A Catalpa tree offers shade under its parasol of leaves during those hot summer days.
This charming gîte is ideally situated in the heart of the Touraine allowing you to profit from the quietness of the french countryside whilst being close to the touristic sites of the Loire Valley.
